The Nintendo Book Tag

I was tagged by Ana @ Nerdy Book Worm to do this tag. Thank you Ana! I have actually never owned a Nintendo (I know, my childhood was sad). I actually never had any kind of gaming console. I just played on a PC. But I’m going to do this tag anyway.

1. NES (Nintendo Entertainment System): A classic you want to read

1420

Wow, there are a lot of classics that I want to read. But I think I will go with Hamlet for this one. I have never read Hamlet from start to finish. And I don’t know why. And I want to read it.

2. SNES (Super Nintendo): A sequel you liked more than the first (can be a second book in a series)

acomaf-cover-3

I’m sure I could find a lot of answers for this, but I’m going to go with A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, because I loved ACOTAR, but I absolutely ADORE ACOMAF.

3. Nintendo 64: A book that revolutionized the way you look at the world

I don’t think I have an answer for this one. There have been many books that have made me think about certain aspects of my life or of the world or that have influenced me in some way or another, but I don’t think I can say I went into reading a book with one worldview and finished it with a different one. I think all books I read have an impact on me somehow, but not a revolutionary one.

4. Gamecube: A popular book that did not go over so well with you

5107

The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. I know this is a very controversial book. People generally either love it or hate it. I hated it. I had to read it for school, I was 12 or 13 at the time, and I just remember thinking throughout “Why on earth would any teacher make us read this stupid book?”

5. Wii: A new favorite book

Six of Crows

Six of Crows by Leigh Brdugo is my newest favourite book. I love it, I don’t have enough words to tell you how much I love it. I have an entire review telling you how much I love it and it still does not adequately describe how much I love it.

6. Nintendo Power: Favorite graphic novel series or a series you want to start

the wrath and the dawn

There are so many series I want to start, it’s overwhelming. I’ll go with The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh, because I’ve wanted to read this book for over a year now and I still have’t read it and I don’t know why, but I want to.

7. Super Mario: A character that you’d love to squish like a Goomba

Dolores Umbridge. Or Mare from Glass Sword. It’s a toss.

8. Zelda: A newer fantasy that you consider to be a modern classic

asoiaf

A Song of Ice and Fire by G.R.R. Martin. I don’t think I really need to explain that.

9. Samas-Aran: Favorite sci-fi novel or one you want to read

15839976

Red Rising by Pierce Brown. Another one of those books I’ve been meaning to read for ages and just haven’t gotten to it yet.

10. Pokemon: Book editions that you want to collect

I want the Harry Potter ones that make Hogwarts with their spines. And I also want the original, UK Bloomsbury editions of HP (I have some of them). And I also collect editions of The Lord of the Rings.

11. Donkey Kong: A book with original characters

darker shade of magic

If only I hadn’t used Six of Crows in another answer. But that’s okay, because A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab (review here) also has an amazing cast of characters that I love.

12. Nintendo Fandom: Favorite Nintendo game(s) or game

I don’t really have an answer for this, because as I said, I’ve never owned a Nintendo.

  1. Great answers! I used to have a Nintendo and I’d carry that thing with me all day hahaha Now I prefer my Wii (but I need to get more games 😛 )
I’ve actually already done this TAG, but thank you so much for thinking of me ❤
