I was tagged by the lovely Savannah @ The Book Prophet to do this tag. Thank you Savannah! Winter is one of my favourite times of the year, so I’m going to love this tag.

1. Do you like the cold?

Yes, I love the cold. I love snow (that’s why I hate English winters. they’re just wet and ugh). I love ice skating and winter sports in general and I like the crispness of cold air. When you breathe it in and you feel it all the way into your lungs. I love it!

2. Favorite part about winter?

Snow and Christmas.

3. Does it snow where you live?

Not really where I’m living now. England sucks. But it did snow where I grew up. So I have some amazing winter memories.

4. Favorite clothing item in winter?

I like wearing gloves. And snow boots. Also, I really love weird winter socks. Well, I love weird socks in general, but weird winter socks are extra awesome!

5. Your favorite winter memory?

Oh, I have so many! Like my brother and I coming home after a day of sledding and our mum would have food ready and hot chocolate and we’d put on warm, dry clothes and watch TV and the house would be all decorated for Christmas. Sometimes, our dad would take out his guitar and we’d sing carols.

6. Favourite hot drink?

Hot chocolate!

7. Best winter book to read curled up in a blanket?

I always get a really strong desire to read Harry Potter in winter. It just feels so magical and for some reason, the most evocative HP scenes are the Christmas ones. So yeah, HP.

8. Best winter movie to watch?

Hmmm, this isn’t really a winter film, but for some reason, when I was younger, they always played The Lord of the Rings around Christmas on TV, so it sort of became a tradition to watch it every winter.

9. Do you do any winter sports? (Skiing, Snowboarding, Ice-Skating)

I always ice-skate. That’s the one I do most frequently. Although I can also ski and I used to go with my family sometimes.

10. Favourite Christmas/holiday/New Year tradition?

Well, every year, my family gathers at my aunt’s house on Christmas Eve and there’s presents and food and drinks and it’s fun and cozy and also a little bit exhausting. And then, the next day we meet again at my grandparents’ house for lunch. And there, we have more presents and more food!

I’m too lazy to tag anyone, so please consider yourself tagged if you want to do this!
