I can’t believe it’s time for another wrap up. I read 5 books in June, two of which were behemoths. And I actually loved every single book I read last month, so all in all, a great month.
The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
Like the first one, this book was a whirlwind of constant action and plot-twists. There were some things that I loved and others that… at least upon finishing this book, I didn’t know how to feel about. But over all, it was great! 4.5/5 stars.
The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson
I immediately bought the final book in the trilogy because I just could not with the ending. And it was one hell of a finale! I loved everything about it. 5/5 stars.
Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
This was my first dip into the worlds of Neil Gaiman and boy why did I not read any of his books sooner? Soo good. 5/5 stars
The Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss
I finally brought myself to read this strange little story. Now I am officially out of Kingkiller stuff to read until the next one comes out 😦 It was beautiful though. I love Auri to bits. 5/5 stars
The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden by Jonas Jonasson
A couple years ago, I read The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared and found I really enjoy this guy’s mixture of humour and history. I maintain that opinion having read this book and would not hesitate to recommend all of his books to anyone who enjoys darker, witty humour. I listened to the audiobook for this one, which was definitely a good choice as the narrator was great. 5/5 stars
